Recognising scams - how we will (and will not) contact you

Phone networks are a favourite disguise for scammers. Knowing our real behaviour makes fakes easy to spot.

How we contact you

  • Messages from us appear in the VoicePro app, and emails come from our voicepro.plus addresses.
  • We may text service notices (like a payment reminder) - but a genuine text will never ask you to reply with codes or passwords.

What we will never do

  • Ask for your full password or a one-time code - not by phone, text or email. Codes are for you to type into the app, never to read out to a human.
  • Ask you to move money to a "safe account", buy vouchers, or pay a "release fee".
  • Ask for remote access to your phone or computer.
  • Pressure you to act "before your account is closed". Urgency is the scammer's tool.

Common patterns to bin on sight

  • "Your bill could not be processed - click this link" from a random address or number.
  • "You are owed a refund - install this app so we can send it."
  • A caller who already has some of your details and asks you to "confirm" the rest. Hang up.

If you are ever unsure

Do not use the link or number in the message. Open the VoicePro app or go to support.voicepro.plus directly and ask us - a real problem with your account will be visible there. If you have already given details away, contact us immediately and we will secure the account with you.
