Which devices support eSIM?

Most phones released since around 2019 support eSIM, but not all - and some imported models have eSIM removed.

Quick ways to check

  • **Dial *#06#. If the readout includes an EID** number, the device supports eSIM.
  • iPhone: every model from the iPhone XS / XR onwards supports eSIM in the UK.
  • Android: Google Pixel 3 and later, Samsung Galaxy S20 and later, and most recent flagships support eSIM. Budget models vary - check Settings for an "Add eSIM" or "Download SIM" option.

Watch out for

  • Carrier-locked phones: a phone locked to another network cannot activate our SIM or eSIM until it is unlocked by that network.
  • Imported handsets: some models sold in other regions (including some dual-physical-SIM variants) ship without eSIM support even when the UK version has it.

No eSIM? No problem

Physical SIMs are available for every plan - choose one at checkout or ask us to swap. If you switch phones later, you can move to eSIM at any time.
