Activating a customer SIM in store

The in-store sale flow is built to take a walk-in customer to a live SIM in a few minutes, using the partner POS in your portal.

Before you start

  • Sign in to the distributor portal and open the in-store POS (voicepro.plus/portal/retail/sale).
  • Have stock to hand - SIM packs are activated against your outlet's allocation, which keeps your commissions attributed automatically.

The flow

  1. Start a new sale in the POS and choose the customer's plan.
  2. Scan or enter the SIM pack details.
  3. Enter the customer's details as prompted - identity requirements are built into the flow, so complete each screen with the customer present.
  4. Take payment as the flow directs.
  5. The SIM activates and the customer's number is live before they leave - have them confirm signal on their phone at the counter.

Bringing a number from another network

If the customer wants to keep their old number, they text PAC to 65075 from their old SIM (free, instant) and the code is entered during the sale or added afterwards in the customer's own app. The port completes within three working days - set that expectation at the counter.

If an activation fails

Do not re-try the same pack repeatedly. Note the SIM number, complete the sale with a fresh pack if the customer is waiting, and log the failed pack via your portal - it is credited back against your stock, and repeated failures from one batch are exactly what we want to hear about.
