Teams change size; your account keeps up without penalty maths.
Adding a line
- In your workspace, add a new line and choose its plan.
- Ship a SIM or issue an eSIM to the team member - eSIM is instant, which matters for a new starter's first day.
- The new line's charges join your single monthly business invoice - no separate billing relationship to manage.
A line added part-way through your billing cycle is charged proportionately, so there is no reason to wait for a renewal date.
Removing a line
Remove the line from your workspace and it stops at the point defined by your business terms. Before removing it, decide about the number:
- Keep it in the business: reassign the line to another team member instead of removing it.
- Let the leaver take it: the leaver requests a PAC on that line and ports it to a personal account - do this before the line is closed.
- Retire it: simply remove the line.
Seats vs lines
Workspace seats control who can administer the account; lines are the SIMs people call with. Removing someone's line does not remove their admin access - check both when someone leaves. See "Managing team lines and seats".
